In partnership with Dona Ana Community College (DACC), AAUW-Las Cruces Branch offers Girls Can! annually for 6th-grade girls from each school district in Don Ana County. The 2024 Girls Can! is on Saturday, March 23.
The broad goal of Girls Can! Is to increase equitable education for all women. Girls will get firsthand opportunities to explore STEM-focused careers at this conference. Girls Can! offers 20 different options for girls to learn from a female role model from each field.
The magic of this event is the beautiful opportunity for AAUW-LC members to work side by side with our community to help these girls begin to dream and plan for a successful future.
Parents of each student are invited to attend a workshop offered in Spanish and English to encourage and support their dreams for their daughters.
2024 will be the 28th year of Girls Can! AAUW-LC working together with DACC, will once again bring this program to the East Mesa Campus.
Girls Can! will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 8:00 – Noon at the Dona Ana Community College (DACC), East Campus on Sonoma Ranch Blvd.
